Keeping up with this blog is hard work. Now that it's Christmas and All.
I really can't believe it's only 4 days till Christmas. I really do think Christmas is only for children nowadays, just doesn't feel as special as you were a kid. I guess it's all the beliefs that come with it.
So I've been decorating the house with the tree and some little tinsels here and there with Christmas Songs playing around.
This song caught my attention.
I love how it's about the Children of Africa. It's so Lady Di isn't it when they take it all out just to bring
cheer and joy to the less fortunate.
It was on a playlist .and eventually it came to And then the lyrics don't fit. Ya know the thing about music, is that most people don't bother thinking about the lyrics or its significance when they're using the song for their events or just cause it's sounding nice.
I've heard this at so many shop outlets while i was Christmas Shopping on Orchard Road.
And you don't really pay attention to it until you get home and really take a good hear
So this single raised $14 million for famine relief in Africa. But it's got the most depressing lyrics after that.
And it's a world of dreaded fear
Where the only water flowing is a bitter sting of tears
And the christmas bells that ring there are the clanging chimes of doom
Well tonight thank God it's them instead of you
And there won't be snow in Africa this christmas time
The greatest gift they'll get this year is life
Where nothing ever grows
No rain or rivers flow
Do they know it's christmas time at all?
I'm just wondering if they were being Sarcarstic when they wrote this song. It's a wonderful catchy song, but when you take a good look at it. -It really does sound like a mockery of things.
